“Core Disposition” is composed of thirty-nine sewn satin and velvet structures, motors, and digitally sampled sounds of wild animals. Operated by the artist herself, Lyn-Kee-Chow only mimics the assumed essential destiny of female life, giving birth. By releasing the smaller forms from the larger, motherly instincts are portrayed and felt as a burden as the mass of the initial form crushes the others, gets reduced in size and withers away in exhaustion.
